The Auditor General (AG) has identified key elements that have caused modified audit opinions across government entities, departments, TVET’s colleges and municipalities and municipal entities.
To compound the issue, AG has noted that audit opinions are regressing over the years across the country and government entities, departments, TVET’s colleges and municipalities and municipal
entities, and they are struggling to maintain and/or improve audit opinions. It is critical to address the shortcomings that have been identified by AG in preparation of upcoming audits and/or addressing auditors findings from previous audits such that same issues will not be raised.
